Memorial Trees

***Please note that due to COVID-19 the Spiritual rooms at both Crosshouse and Ayr Hospitals are currently being used for NHS staff support 24/7.  If you wish to vist the trees at this time there are restrictions in place, but parents are still welcome, if you can let know we can arrange with the care manager so they know to expect a visit***

We now have, or are about to have, three memorial trees.  Heart shaped or leaf shaped plaques can been attached to these with details of your little one's name and date of birth / passing.

Copper Love Memorial Tree at Crosshouse Hospital - heart shaped plaques

To mark our 30th anniversary in 2018 we had a beautiful copper memorial love tree installed on the wall

in the spiritual room at Crosshouse Hospital.  This tree holds little heart shaped brass plaques which are

engraved with the name and date of birth / passing of our precious babies.

Copper Love Memorial Tree at Ayr Hospital - heart shaped plaques

Due to the popularity of the Crosshouse tree, during the summer of 2020 we installed another

beautiful copper memorial tree on the wall in the spiritual room at Ayr Hospital.  This tree holds little heart shaped

brass plaques which are engraved with the name and date of birth / passing of our precious babies.

If you would like a heart plaque placed of either of the Crosshouse Hospital or Ayr Hospital trees please download and complete the memorial heart form below and send to the address on the form or email to support@ayrshiresands.co.uk

There is a suggested donation of £10 for each heart to cover the cost of the heart and engraving.

Outside Standalone Corten Steel Memorial Tree at Corsehill Park, Ayr - leaf shaped plaques

We had been contacted by a number of bereaved parents who asked if we could have a tree in a

non-religious place.  To answer this request we decided to go for an outside setting.

So in the Autumn 2020, we purchased a 120cm corten steel memorial tree to be mounted

onto a concrete bass in Corsehill Park, Ayr.  This tree holds little leaf shaped anodised aluminium

plaques which are engraved with the name and date of birth / passing of our precious babies

If you would like a leaf shaped plaque placed on the tree at Corsehill Park, Ayr, please download and complete

the memorial leaf form below and send to the address on the form or email to support@ayrshiresands.co.uk

There is a suggested donation of £10 for each leaf to cover the cost of the leaf and engraving.

**Please note that once this tree has been mounted onto the base and is ready for the leaves to be attached the form will become available.

Knadgerhill Cemetery baby plots upgrade

We are currently in the process of cleaning and renovating the baby plot areas within Knadgerhill Cemetery, Irvine.

This will mean that the toys boxes that have been placed there to store toys & momentos will be removed to be repaired and treated.  The gardening areas will be attented to over time to tidy up the plants, trees and bushes.  The memorial stones will be cleaned.  Some memorial stones will also be removed whilst missing or damaged lettering is replaced.

Please bear with us while we try to improve these areas and make them a pleasant and peaceful place for us all to visit our babies.

Note: Due to COVID-19 some of the improvements have had to be postponed but will be resumed as soon as possible
